A photographer that i would compare Ansel Adams to is Kim Curinga. Even though her work is mainly in color, the subject itself reminds me of Ansel. The main subjects are of nature, like that of Ansel Adams. He looks at different types of nature and the elements that make it up. In Kim Curinga's work, like that of her work called "Antelope Canyon" I like this piece because of the high color, and the elements of the image itself.

For my modern day Ansel Adams I picked James Casebere. He is a lot alike Adams and yet has a completely different take on his photographs. He started in the 1970s and has been photographing building elements with a twist on it. He shoots a lot of architecture and sculpture elements. He was considered one of the first "post modern" artist known for creating images for the camera. The work that I have pickied to share is "Four Flooded Arches from Left' I picked it because it has a unique view point and the lighting is very interesting. A lot of his work has a water element to it. I find it interesting to look at and it also sparks some interest as to why and how the water got there.

A photographer that I see some Ansel Adams-inspired work from is Paul Politis. He shoots often in black and white of many different things. Some subjects include architecture such as churches as Ansel Adams has done. Also, the composition makes Politis seem like he is pursuing his photographic career being guided by the works of Ansel Adams.

A photographer that I would compare Ansel Adams to would be Nicholas Hughes. Their work is alot alike because it is all on nature and Ansel Adams captured this picture to make it look like it is in the darkness and that is what Nicholas Hughes always captures. (nature in the darkness).

A photographer that i would compare to Ansel Adams to is Francisco Lado. His work is mostly focused on nature, mountains, canyons, ect. Although Francisco uses color, and Ansel uses black and white, i can still see many similarities between the two artists.

Below is the site of some of his work.

The photographer that I would compare to Ansel Adams is Nic Nicosia. Although, Nicosia's photographs aren't mainly of enivormental portriats. He has many different varities. He has a lot of photographs that have small children looking into the horizon. In the background of the forests and lakes and rivers.

Okay so im not gonna write a 200 word essay about another phtographer because that's so boring, and if I did, there's so no way I would be able to have it 200 words long, ssooo im gonna compare him to myself. I love Ansel's work because it's almost identical to mine. I did a research project about him my sophmore year as my photography final exam. I have so much in common with him and his amazing work. As well as him, I love taking and developing pictures that I have taken that has to do with nature and it's incredible sceneries. Flowers, lakes, mountains, jungles, forests, rivers, tree's, and anything that even comes close to nature amuses me, and obviously amuses Ansel Adam's as well. Our pictures are so much alike in comparison, which is why I think im like Ansel Adams. Wow, that sounds so corny, but oh well. YAY me!

Ansel Adams is a famous, American landscape photographer. She is known for her breathtaking black and white images of America’s beautiful backyard. Adams was a lover of nature herself. She put a lot of effort into preserving our environment, and her most influential method was by shooting the gorgeous landscapes of the country. A very similar artist to Ansel Adams is a man named Yiorgos Konstantinidis. He was born in northern Greece, and he became a professional photographer is 1998. He shares Adam’s same interest in nature. Differing from Adams, he took images from all over the world rather than just his homeland, but the majority of them were also breathtaking black and white landscapes. His love of nature is also what got him into photography. He traveled often and did not know how to tell his friends and family about the indescribable places he saw, so he captured them through the camera. Through his constant travels around the world, witnessing all Mother Nature has to offer, he found a new, deeper respect for the world around him. He then, like Adams, became an advocate through the environment, and also like Adams, he used he photography as his means for helping the nature preserving cause.
