This online blog has been created to enhance the communication between students during the artmaking process. While working on a photographic work and upon completion, students will post their images and wait for comments from their fellow peers, teacher, and other registered users. This blog will also be used as a venue to discuss historical and contemporary works by artists from around the world.

These photos hold meaning to me. The first photo reminds me of the Dr. Suess book, Lorax. The book was about how people are wasting the worlds natural resources. I think all of these photos symbolize that in their own way.
I don't find the photographs to be that insteresting mainly because I see graffiti almost on a daily basis. There isn't really anything out of the ordinary that catches my attention.
I like these, they remind me of downtown in the city. I always see these type of "arts" designed on the sides of buildings and what not, and always wonder about them; who made it? how long did it take? why cant i be creative and artsy like them?
I think it is documentary, because you are taking pictures of various walls with graffiti on them. Each one symbolizes something different.
I have to strongly say that each one of these images means something. But, I feel the the true meaning of them can only be found in the artisits mind.I can tell my ideas of what each one means, butI fear none of them would be right because I do not know the mind of the artist.
Well right away they remind me of gang graffiti, but then when I actually look at them more, it's nothing to do with gang activity at all. More of like a huge Dr. Suess story on a wall. I would have to say this is not a documentary, but more of some sort of a story. I would have to see more to be able to tell.
The images remind me of a silly cartoon or comic book. Something random that doesn't really have any meaning. It just a cartoon that in itself explains everything. You have to look inbetween lines of what it's trying to say.
These photos remind me of the "poorer" side of Chicago where there is a lot of graffiti.
The first one at first glance just looks like a cool design, but the more I look at it the more I think that they make a word, but I can't really tell what that word is.
The second one could maybe be symbolizing something to the artist. I think this because its not everyday you see a monkey with only one eye.
for the third photo, there is no connection for me. Although the head reminds me of Phil from Viva La Bam.
Part of the last one is deffinitely from a Dr. Suess book. You can tell by the cartoon character. The fact that the fish is swimming in brown water (if you can call it that) makes me think that the artist is sick of people doing harmful things to the environment, and is trying to get people to make a change for the better.
