Photography 5-6 Independent Work
Night Shots, 35mm black and white photography, Sarah Chambers
What are your thoughts when you look at these images? What emotions do you feel? What makes these images unique?
My thoughts when I look at these images, are of awe. I think that both of the images themselves are strong and I understand at the skill that it takes to do night shooting, but, in my opinion the top image is so much stronger and emotionally grounded than the bottom one. I think even though they were both shot at night and there is not moonlight being given off in the bottom one, the shutter speed could have been adjusted appropriately to better suit to situation. I can't really describe the emotions that flow through me but, I can definitely say that if a little more time would have been given to the shutter speed vs. the lighting situation, the lower image would have come out so much better.
My first thoughs of this photos, its reminds me of haunted house so its simply awesome pictures. :] i like the fact about the shadow of tree. its amazing. :] i feel it would be more scary n creepy if i see it on my own eyes but its really amazing pictures so ur rock! :]
These images are beautiful! I like how you can see the shadows. It is definately my typs of picture! It has a feeling of loneliness to it though.It makes me feel as if I were alone by myself with no one else around. The lighting is amazing for a night picture. Not many really come out nice, but these did, so I like it.
I like the top image alot more than the bottom image.The top image has the perfect contrast but the bottom one is a little bit too dark in my opinion. I these images are kind of eery. They have that haunting effect to them because of the lighting.
both of these look really amazing. the top picture almost looks like a snowflake. it also kind of looks like a plant under water. the bottom one looks really spooky even though it looks as if it was shot in the day time.
