Steve Berlin, EnergyIf you were standing in this place, how would you feel? What would you think about? What makes this photograph a powerful image?
This online blog has been created to enhance the communication between students during the artmaking process. While working on a photographic work and upon completion, students will post their images and wait for comments from their fellow peers, teacher, and other registered users. This blog will also be used as a venue to discuss historical and contemporary works by artists from around the world.

If I were inside of this place, I would feel afraid of what's around the corner because I had never been there before. I would think that I could get killed or raped or something because it's so secluded. It's a very powerful image because of the lighting and the red color, and shape.
If I were standing there I would be soooooo amazed by my surroundings!Lol. I looove this pic!I like how it is nicely lighted and extra light coming from the middle, it somehows gives me comfort(Isn't that weird???)
I really like it!And the colors!!!
XD
i think that if i was standing in this little cave, i would be freaked out. it reminds me of the inside of a beehive or something.
what makes this image strong, is the light hitting the ground. it gives the photo a focal point. and thats why my eyes went to first. above all, i really like this image, its so different than things you normally see.
If I were standing in that place, I would be wondering how I got there. I would feel extraodinarily confused. After the initial shock, I would want to go explore. It looks like it would a good thinking spot. I find the image very powerful for two reasons. The first one being the beam of light that is coming through, and the second are the lines that are in the rocks.
I would feel incredinly claustrophobic. Feeling trapped, I would need to find a way out. The composition and color make this a powerful image.
If i were inside of this place, i would feel a little creepy out but if i went with my friends i would feel so special and if i were standing on where light hitting on a ground and look up..feel like im god or something. the light hitting on a ground is a powerful image because it gets people's eyes on it first...i like it tho. :]
I would feel tiny, scared, but also energized. I would feel tiny because these are giant masses of rock that I would be looking at and they are just huge. scared for the same reason. Ironically though, I would feel energized because I think I would feel this rush as if I could take on the world, i mean aren't I already doing just that if I am standing inbetween rock formations that are upwards of millions of years old. Finally, the things that make up this photo such a powerful image are everything that I had listed in the first part of this blog.
Even though the image brings to us that sense of virtual reality it still looks like it was definitely taken in our world. Because, every comic, or star wars thing has flying cars and actually focuses on the futuristic values of such a culture, whereas this artist decided to focus just on that mainframe of the architectual values. This image makes me feel like I am soaring in and out of the city limits. Lastly, I find this image interesting because when I close my eyes and picture it in my head all I see is me standing a top the bridge ready to take flight in something unknown, mysterious.
I would feel at peice with nature. Just knowing that this beutiful area is a occurrance of nature at work makes me feel great to be alive.
If I was standing in a place like this one, I would feel a sense of adverturness and awness. I think the colors and the rock itself is amazing. I probably wouldn't think about too much, I would just take in the sight infront of me.
The lighting and colors make this image powerful
If I were in there, I would feel sssooo disgustingly bored and extremely lonely, which is weird because it looks like such a BEAUTIFUL image, but if I were there, I would hate it so much. It is definetly a powerful image! I love the way it looks! That's a fact!
if i were standing there u would feel really calm and relaxed because it looks so peaceful and pretty. it reminds me of a story i heard on tv about a guy who went rock climbing by himself and got stuck for a couple of days
I think that this image is pretty sweet and very colorful. I think it is photoshopped and blured. I like the colors used
