This online blog has been created to enhance the communication between students during the artmaking process. While working on a photographic work and upon completion, students will post their images and wait for comments from their fellow peers, teacher, and other registered users. This blog will also be used as a venue to discuss historical and contemporary works by artists from around the world.

I believe the you are not yourself one stands out the most for me. Although, i did have a hard time understanding the meanings of them at first. All together, they are good pictures.

I want to start off by saying I love Barbara Kruger's images. I love the idea of using text as a subject and having images supplement the text. It's the opposite of what's traditionally done, so it gives it a very abstract feel. Out of these images, the one that says, "Your comfort is my silence" stands out the most to me. I like it because it's a feminist message, but not over the top, completely man-hating feminist. The "your" in the text refers to a man, while the "my" refers to a woman. The man in the picture is giving the "do not talk" symbol to reiterate the text's message tnat women should not voice their opinions because they might be better and smarter than that of their male counterpart.
i like thee first image alot

i do like the idea of the way she did these its kind of shows how people feel in everyday life.

The thaughts i think of are things like someone in her past has damaged her in a way and so she is letting them know through sayings and pictures. The image involving someone pricking their finger with a saftey pin stands out to me the most. Right when i saw it i actually took a minute to just study it. I guess self harm just grabs my attention. The image, to me, represents hate towards someone. someone that makes another person want to harm themselves over.

I find her work very interesting, and a little creepy. The 'you are not yourself' picture stands out the most to me because the broken glass makes it a bit more depressing and personal than the others.

I like the "you are not yourself" picture. I like the series also because of the abstractness. It is interesting to look beyond the picture and try to figure out what it is saying. For this one i think it shows a person struggling with themself.
My thoughts are that people do feel like this. The image that stands out to me is the your body is a battleground. It grabs my attention because its true in various ways like how someone feels about themselves do they think their uguly, prety etc.... The image represents that anyone can feel like this at any point in life.
It reminds me of an old TIME magizine, or something that was made a long time ago.
the very last image is pretty cool.
These images creap me out. They're very disturbing. I feel like im being brainwashed. I believe the artist is trying to portray differnt perspectives or feelings. These images remind me of post secrets or our post cards. The your comfort is my silence piece sticks out the most to me. i dont really understand what its saying but i just like it for some reason.
