Ruth Bernhard realized her extreme passion for photography as an art one day; while meeting a photographer on a beach. His work opened her eyes completely and showed her all the marvelous opportunities she had with this art form. She takes her photography of women as a masterpiece of the human figure. Her goal was to try and capture a woman’s natural beauty in the most fascinating way. Her goal was reached in every way possible.

When Ruth met Edward Weston on a beach, her whole view on photography changed. Her inspiration most likely came from all the deifferent areas she came from.
